This week is World Mission Sunday and the second collection is for Missio, the Pope’s official charity for overseas mission. Many parishioners will remember it as the Association for the Propagation of the Faith – APF – whose red collection boxes have been a feature, over the years, of so many Catholic homes.

ALBANY PARK BAPTIST CHURCH: Please keep our fellow Christians in your prayers as they celebrate their 75th anniversary. There will be a Thanksgiving Communion Service at 6.30pm on Sunday 30th October with a reception afterwards and Rev Craig Downes says, “It would be wonderful to see you there”. As Catholics we should not receive Communion distributed in Anglian/Protestant services but Rev Downes is happy to give a blessing if we fold our arms over our chest. OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING –Wednesday 2nd November: documentaries on the founder of the Jesuits, St Ignatius of Loyola and his co-founder St Francis Xavier featuring interviews with world renowned scholars. Bar open and stall selling home-made crafts with a Christmas theme. All welcome, 7pm for 7.30pm start.
