EVENTS PLANNING: The Parish Events Planning Meeting took place on the evening of Friday 19th January. Key points are:
There is an urgent need for funds for essential and expensive repairs to the church central heating and roof. All profits from parish events will go to the Church for this purpose and it is hoped that parishioners will support the events accordingly. It was agreed to hold the following events:
Variety & Cabaret evening on 14th April. It proved a great success and raised about £600 for the repairs fund.

Our next event was the CELEBRATION OF ST JOHN FISHER DAY, on Saturday 23rd June 2018. It was a Barbeque and Fun Day for all ages with dancing and entertainment. The sun shone and once again it proved a great success with a good time being had by all. Sorry if you missed it but hopefully there’ll be another one next year

Recruitment for teams to organise the various events has started and please do add your names to the lists in the porch or with Anne Rayer after 10.30 Mass, or at A wide range of talents is required: from preparing or clearing the hall to being able to design and print the tickets needed, or design posters, etc. YOUR PARISH NEEDS YOU

In July the Events Team organised a celebration to mark Fr Christian’s graduation and his 5oth Birthday.

EVENTS TEAM – Following the Christmas Fayre and the New Year Day lunch, an Events Team has  been set up to assist Fr Christian and coordinate social events in the Parish. The recent Jazz Night was successfully organised by the Truman Girls, Cliff Thomas organised a Quiz Night on June 3rd, and on June the 23rd we celebrated the feast of St John Fisher.  In the future, we hope to set up activities for some Friday evenings.   Watch this space for future events.
