ST JOHN FISHER CHRISTMAS FAYRE: Our charity Christmas fayre is on 10 December in the parish hall. We hope to make it a festive occasion that brings together members of the community, both young and old, with a chance to shop and socialise. We are also hoping to involve local shops with their own stalls at the fayre. More volunteers are needed to help with organising the event. We need donations of items to decorate the hall, sell and to fill Father Christmas’s sack! LOST PROPERTY: There is a large number of coats and jackets which have been left in the hall cloakroom over the past 10 years. If you have mislaid an item of clothing please check if one of them belongs to you. All items will be available to view in the hall after 10.30am Mass next Sunday. OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING:capture  Wed 2nd Nov: documentaries on the founder of the Jesuits, St Ignatius of Loyola and his “co-founder” St Francis Xavier, featuring interviews with world-renowned scholars in the fields of history and theology, as well as stunning scenery from around the world. Bar open and stall selling home-made crafts with a Christmas theme. All welcome, 7 pm for 7.30 pm start.

OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS TABLE SALE on Saturday 5th November 10am to 3pm – in aid of MacMillan Cancer Care. All welcome to come along and browse for some bargains. We are combining this with a MacMillan Coffee Morning (and afternoon!. There will be coffee, tea and cakes, bacon rolls and sausage sandwiches. There will also be face painting for the kids and ladies doing make up. Entry 50p – all proceeds to MacMillan. The address is Angelus Centre, Bexley Road, Erith, DA8 3HQ.
