DEANERY DEVELOPING WORLD GROUP: Thank you for our kind donation of £146.50. We are now looking for new projects for the coming year (which starts in October.) If you know of any small independent projects in any country in the developing world which could benefit from a donation of £1,000, please contact our Parish Representative, Marie Ward 01322 555 553 to get more information and an application form. Forms must be returned by the end of September.

OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING: Wednesday 21st September. Part 1 of a 2 part movie on St Rita of Cascia. The patron saint of hopeless situations is immortalized in this deeply inspiring movie. Rita, a brave and loyal woman helps her husband overcome his dark past and convert to the Faith, happily bears him children and later endures immense pain as she loses everything. Rita finds new hope through a convent of sisters and develops an inspiring union with Christ. Second part (including a re-cap) on Wed 5th October – watch either or both parts. Bar open, all welcome, 7pm for 7.30pm start.

SEPTEMBER IS SVP AWARENESS MONTH: “Just do it. Make time for it. We can all make a bit of time. It might mean less telly watching, but we will meet people who will pull us through”. (SVP Patron John Battle’s words to anyone who wants to become an SVP Volunteer.)

We celebrate the self-sacrificing love of Christ, the unfathomable wisdom of God, who was prepared to give up everything out of love for man. In the same spirit St Paul was prepared to send back to Philemon the dear friend of his captivity, Onesimus, a part of his own self.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a charity completely free to use. Its aim is to help lift the burden of debt and has done so for thousands of others. JAZZ NIGHT:   Many thanks to all those who came along to support and enjoy our Jazz Night last Friday.   We had great live music and dancing, whilst raising £104 for the AIC “Saturday Friends”.   Well done everyone.
