Dear Parishioners,

We are beginning to look at investing in solar power through panels on the church roof. We hope to make savings in fuel costs but we are also keen to do it because it is the right thing to do in pursuit of “net zero” – “on earth as it is in heaven”. If anyone by chance has any expertise in this area, or useful contacts, I’d love to hear from you.

SYNODALITY: the way we as individuals, and the church as institution interact. A small group engaged in consultation over this and produced a significant response to share with the Archdiocese at a meeting in November. We invite you as individuals to add your pennyworth by taking and returning a brief questionnaire, available in the foyer. Next Sunday is the deadline for submitting your responses.

And finally, PLEASE JOIN US in the hall after 10.30 Sunday Mass. We have fresh coffee, tea and orange squash (free for children) and confectionary besides. The bar is also open.  It is a key part of our calling as Church – to build ourselves up in community. There are many ways to do this but a pleasant half hour together on Sundays is a good one! It would be nice to see more of you.

God Bless,                                 Fr Doug
