Dear Parishioners,

Our Church identifies itself in Communion and Mission. We see Communion in our weekly gathering at mass and in the parish community that we try to build. We need to be DELIBERATE in our efforts to do this, not just – or even primarily – for ourselves but for others who may be supported by it, and others still, who may be attracted to it and find a Faith therein. The building of parish community is a worthy pursuit that we can intentionally take on. Do for instance, consider stopping in the hall after 10.30 Sunday Mass for fresh coffee, tea and orange squash (free for children) and confectionary besides, but most of all to offer fellowship to each other. The bar is open too. There are many other ways to build community, but a pleasant half hour together on Sundays is a good one! It would be nice to see more of you. We do need more volunteers serving in the kitchen too! (Could that be a “way in” for you?)

God Bless,                                  Fr Doug

GOSPEL OF MARK – Dr. Brian Purfield
