The so called “Freedom Day” is nearly here. We wish, under the diocese’s direction, to make some cautious adjustments at first and our parish council is meeting this Sunday to agree the path ahead, STEP by STEP. More of their decisions to follow.

But for now, from Monday onwards:

Social distancing of 1m between “bubbles”

Please wear masks on Sundays unless you are in a good deal of space.

Masks no longer compulsory for our usual weekday masses. There is enough space.

Track and Trace remains

Arrangements for Holy Communion remain.

Arrangements for Offertory remain.

Singing can begin again. Hymn books can be used once each weekend.

Please use cleansing liquid on entry to Church.

Only frequently used touch points will be cleansed after each mass.

We were all blessed last weekend with Confirmations and First Holy Communions. One more Confirmation on Saturday evening with one delayed due to Covid isolation, and five more First Holy Communions to take place on Tuesday, again following compulsory isolations from school.

God Bless
