NEXT WEEK IS SEA SUNDAY: When the Church prays for all those who live and work at sea. There will be a second collection for Apostleship of the Sea, the official maritime welfare agency of the Catholic Church. It provides practical and spiritual support to seafarers visiting our ports. OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING – Wednesday 18th July: Epic movie on St Joan of Arc. Fiercely believing that she was directed by God, Joan triumphantly led an army into battle against the English, who were driven from France. Bar open, admission free, all welcome, 6:45pm for 7:00pm start. NOTE EARLY START BUT LATE COMERS WELCOME.

THE ST JOHN BOSCO CHILDRENS SUMMER CAMP AT ALDHAM ESSEX: This is an activities camp with a Catholic ethos that runs as follows:

  1. Week One Saturday 21st July to 28th July 2018 for Boys.
  2. Week Two Saturday 28th July to 4th August 2018 for Boys.
  3. Week Three Saturday 4th August to 11th August 2018 for Girls.

It is for children aged 8 to 13 and costs £145 per week. OLD BEXLEY MUSIC FESTIVAL – Last Minute Changes to the Programme: St James the Great, Blendon, have sadly had to cancel their concert on Sunday 17th June. The Soprano for St Mary the Virgin’s concert on Friday 29th June has also had to cancel, but the wonderful Bexley Ukuleles have gallantly stepped forward – they’re great fun! A reminder that we are hosting Green Street Blues – Kent’s award winning acapella choir – on Tuesday 19th June, 8pm. All concerts free of charge. Kathy Fogarty 01322 553993
