CELEBRATION OF ST JOHN FISHER DAY SATURDAY 23RD JUNE 2018 Barbeque and Fun Day for All. Dancing and entertainment from the Children’s Liturgy Group, Bexley Beavers, Irish dancers and much more. Also live music and DJ in the event. To make it a great day your generosity is vital. We need contributions and/or donations of:
• Your presence – to have fun on the day. Volunteers are also needed on the day.
• Cash/Sponsorship of one or more of the activities, e.g. face painting, bouncy castle, etc.
• Traditional cuisine to serve on the day. The more cultures the food represents, the jollier.
• Standard size table tennis (table only will suffice) and/or other group game or activity.
• Donations for the raffle should be placed in the box in the porch.
Please register your name on the clipboard in the foyer if you are able to volunteer / help on the day.

THE BLESSED SACRAMENT PROCESSION will take place at Lesnes Abbey on Sunday 24th June at 3pm, with Bishop Patrick Lynch. All are welcome.

OLD BEXLEY MUSIC FESTIVAL 9TH JUNE TO 1ST JULY Churches Together in Old Bexley present our annual music festival, events are open to all, free of charge, just turn up to hear jazz, songs from the silver screen, music to refresh the soul, and even Divine Disney! St John fisher is hosting Green Street Blues – Kent’s award winning a cappella choir with a unique and mesmerising sound – on Tuesday 19th June, 8pm in our church hall. OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING Our next evening will be on Wed 18th July when we will show an inspirational movie on St Joan of Arc, the 15th century French peasant who roused a nation & inspires the world with her faith and bravery. Fiercely believing that she was directed by God, Joan triumphantly led an army into battle against the English, who were driven from France

The film will be shown in St John Fisher Bexley Church Hall, bar open, admission free, all welcome. Arrivals from 6:30pm for 7:00 pm start & latecomers welcome.

Lift share: do you know of anyone who would like to come to these events, but needs a lift? Are you in a position to give a lift to others? If so, please contact Helen, our Lift Share Coordinator on 07532-124040; helenmrees2@live.co.uk.

CAR PARK NOTIFICATION: Car Parking Permits are now available for issue. Permit application forms are available at the back of the Church or from the Parish Office. These forms are for:
• Our customers in the High Street using our car park
• Parishioners using the car park all day long
• Other short stay businesses outside usual church activities
• There will also be a provision for non-parishioners who fall outside of the above categories to use the car park on a pay and display facility.
There is a plan to implement a system which will monitor all traffic movement in and out of the car park. Permit holders and others who have registered themselves will be exempt. Details to follow soon.

ALTAR SERVERS SUMMER BREAK 7TH – 10TH AUGUST. To be held at Woldingham, Surrey. Cost £145. This is an excellent few days for boy and girl servers aged 10-15. Meeting in a holiday atmosphere, activities include discussions, prayer, daily mass, sport, Chessington, Laser Elite and swimming. The Blood of The Covenant

The old covenant was sealed with the blood of the sacrifice which Moses sprinkled on the people. The new covenant was sealed with the blood of Christ who offered himself as a perfect sacrifice to God.

Bar open, admission free, all welcome, 7:00pm for 7:30pm start.

AN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION: The Eucharistic Miracles of the World. This is taking place in May at St Anselm’s Dartford, DA1 2HJ. One can enter the Church during the day to pray and see the exhibition. There are also events during the month to promote devotion and love of the Eucharist. For more details, contact Fr.
