Dear Parishioners,

Wednesday sees the start of Lent, but for those taking part in our diocesan Lenten retreat, we get going on Monday with the first session looking at the readings we will hear next Sunday (1st Sunday of Lent). If you are accessing the sessions at home, you can begin whenever you please!! During Lent there is no Gloria at mass, and we will say the Apostles’ Creed (page 12).

It is a great season to get your life straight with the support of so many others. Whatever you do, do something!

                   God Bless,                                                  Fr Doug

There will be a video and then ideas for reflection along with a written summary. The theme is based on the Sunday readings of Lent. Sign up to receive it. You will then receive an email each Monday with the material. Use this link

Alternatively, you can participate with others in 3 different church locations and share the experience with other Christians in Bexley. (The ‘video’ will be projected onto the ‘large screen’ and there will be time for reflection, prayer and sharing)

Please note that the lunchtime session here is using the readings for the Sunday follow but the morning and evening sessions are in the week following the Sunday.

Mondays, 1.30 – 3.00 St. John Fisher Hall, beginning 20th February

Tuesdays 10.30 – 12.00 URC (opposite the war memorial) beginning 28th February
