JOHN UNDERWOOD, our long-term former parishioner, sends his warmest greetings to all his friends at St John Fisher church. John would like to inform everyone that he lives locally at Shaftesbury Court Residential Care, Selkirk Drive, Erith, DA8 3QP (personal phone: 01322 339085), and would be absolutely delighted to receive visits from parishioners, or even to hear from them. Indeed, today, 15th July, is John’s 91st birthday!

PARISH BARN DANCE: You are cordially invited to our Parish Barn Dance in the church hall on Saturday 15th September from 7.30 until 11.00pm. (Bar open from 7pm). Great fun for all the family. No experience necessary! Tickets will go on sale after each Sunday mass from next weekend until 9th September. Adults £8/Child £4. LIAM GRAY RIP: Sadly Liam passed away on Wednesday 4th July. His Funeral Mass will be held at St John Fisher on Thursday 26th July at 11.30am. Please remember all the family in your prayers.

OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING: Wednesday 18th July, epic movie on St Joan of Arc, the 15th century French peasant who roused a nation and inspires the world with her faith and bravery. Fiercely believing that she was directed by God, Joan triumphantly led an army into battle against the English, who were driven from France. Bar open, admission free, all welcome, 6.45pm for 7.00pm start. Note early start but latecomers welcome.
