Everyone is invited. Please reserve the following dates for future events: Wednesday 28 September, Wednesday 12 October, Wednesday 16 November.
Today is Sea Sunday, when the Church prays for all those who live and work at sea. Without them we would not have most of the items we buy in the shops. Today’s second collection is for Apostleship of the Sea (AoS), the Church’s official maritime welfare agency. It supports seafarers both practically and spiritually. This annual collection is absolutely vital to enable it to continue its work, so please give generously and remember seafarers in your prayers. Thank you. For more information on the work of AoS, please visit http://www.apostleshipofthesea.org.uk.
Our Lady’s film evening: Wednesday 20th July: inspiring movie on Christ’s most prolific messenger, St Paul the Apostle. Paul, originally known as Saul of Tarsus, was at the forefront of efforts to stamp out the early Church but then Jesus stopped him on the road to Damascus, forever changing Paul’s life and mission. All welcome. 6.45pm for 7.00pm start. Note early start but latecomers welcome.
Parish website: With the school holidays rapidly approaching, just a reminder that if you are going away you can still keep in touch with what is going on in the parish by logging on to: stjohnfisherbexley.org and taking a look at the newsletter. If you have any comments about our new website or any suggestions for items that could be included, please drop a note into the presbytery or email: admin@stjohnfisherbexley.org.
