GUILD OF ST STEPHEN ARCHDIOCESE OF SOUTHWARK, ALTAR SERVERS’ RALLY 2018: The annual rally for our altar servers is on May Day Bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2018, at The Friars, Aylesford Priory, Kent. Bishop Paul Mason is the principal celebrant (Sung mass: 11.30am). This is an opportunity for all our new altar servers to receive their medals and be fully inducted into the guild as qualified altar servers. Parents please put this into your diary. CAR PARK PERMIT: TIME TO RENEW:   Please be ready to renew your car park permit, as those previously issued have now  expired.   Please can you renew only for your car, if you are the user, and not on behalf of your family members. Once more, can we remind everyone that the car park is private property for parishioners’ short term use only, never for  all-day or overnight parking without permission.   Following complaints about unauthorised use of the car park steps are being taken to deal with any violations in the future. OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING.  – Wednesday 21st March, inspiring movie on Blessed Miguel Pro, the famous Jesuit who spent most of his short life dodging Mexican police during the Mexican revolution and was executed for the crime of being a priest. ‘Easter-related’ charity stall.

 

 
 
 
 
 

SOCIAL EVENT Saturday 24th March: Movie ‘The King’s Stammer’ -Prince Albert must ascend the throne as King George VI, but he has a speech impediment. Knowing that the country needs her husband to be able to communicate effectively, his wife arranges for a speech therapist to be hired. An extraordinary friendship develops as the therapist teaches the monarch how to speak with confidence.
 
For both events bar open, hot buffet snacks and ‘bring-to-share’. Admission free, all welcome, 7pm

PADDY McMAHON RIP: Many parishioners will remember Paddy McMahon who travelled with us many times to Medjugorje. Sadly, we have heard he has died peacefully in Ireland. Please remember him and all the family in your prayers. He was Margaret Bird’s cousin.
