CHURCH HEATING: Work to repair the heating has now been completed. The new pipe around the Church has been installed and the whole system cleaned. Hopefully it will make the heating more efficient although we won’t know how effective it is until next winter. Most of you will have noticed the shiny new pipework, this will gradually darken. Although we would have liked to fit the pipe behind the woodwork, that would have meant removing the old pipe. We were advised that to do so would be more complicated, cause much more disruption, take much longer and consequently cost considerably more. The Premises Committee

Church Heating repairs. The main part of the work has been completed with a new copper pipe installed around the top of the church. Although we would have liked to have been able to lower it out of view, that would have meant removing the old pipework which was installed as the church was being built. Getting rid of it would have involved considerable disruption and expense.
