FAYRE 10th December: Appeal for donations & items to sell at our Fayre. We are particularly short of items for the “Bottle Stall” and presents to be given freely to children by Father Christmas on the day.

ANNUAL REMEMBRANCE SERVICE: This service will be held in the church on Saturday 19th November at 2.00pm. This will be a time for us to remember those close to us who have died. After the service, refreshments will be served in the hall. We hope you will be able to join us. Donations of cakes will be gratefully received on the day.

JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY: There will be no Year of Mercy seminar on the evening of Wednesday 16 November. Instead, Parish prayers of thanks for the blessings of the Jubilee Year will be offered at all Masses on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November.

Olga Bowman RIP: Free coffee and “St James cake” in the church hall after 10.30am Mass on Sunday 20 November, as thanksgiving to parishioners’ past support of Olga. There will also be the opportunity to see the Compostela etc dedicated to her during Tim’s recent Camino to Santiago.

JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY: Parish prayers of thanks for the blessings of the Jubilee Year will be offered at all Masses on Saturday 19th and 20th November, and 10.30am mass will be adapted to suit the closing of the “Year of Mercy”. ST JOHN FISHER CHRISTMAS FAYRE: Our charity Christmas fayre is on 10 December in the parish hall. We hope to make it a festive occasion that brings together members of the community, both young and old, with a chance to shop and socialise. We are also hoping to involve local shops with their own stalls at the fayre. More volunteers are needed to help with organising the event. We need donations of items to decorate the hall, sell and to fill Father Christmas’s sack!
