Dear Parishioners,
We are using the “Eucharistic Prayers for Various Occasions” on the Sundays of Easter, well most of them. This week will be No. 4, “Jesus, Who Went About Doing Good”.
But more usual prayer next Sunday as I shall be away – my first Sunday away in 2026! Please give your usual warm welcome to the Franciscan brothers who will be covering my absence.
God Bless, Fr Doug
EASTER GARDEN DONATIONS – PART 1
Thank you for your donations to the Friends of the Holy Lands of £140
EASTER GARDEN DONATIONS – PART 2
For the second half of Easter, our Easter Garden Donations are going to PETER’S PENCE. This fund enables the Holy Father to exercise works of mercy and charity: humanitarian initiatives and social promotion projects. Pope Leo is attentive to poor dioceses, religious and faithful in grave difficulty: the poor, children, the elderly, those marginalised and war victims.
ROSARY IN MAY – Friday evenings
This May we are using Archbishop John’s Romero Rosary, praying a mystery each week. There will be a scripture reading, a reflection from Archbishop Romero, and then time for our own reflection before we pray a decade of the rosary. We will be praying the Mysteries of mercy and Compassion on Fridays from 6.30 – 7.00.
PARISH FEAST DAY BARBECUE : This year our summer celebration will be on Sunday 12th July. Put it in your diaries!

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS. A reminder that if you (or a family member) are admitted to hospital, you need to ask that your record indicate you are a Roman Catholic if you would like a visit from the Chaplaincy team or to receive Holy Communion. Hospital staff may forget to ask you about your religious background and due to data regulations, the Chaplaincy team cannot approach you – unless your religion is on your admission record.
