Dear Parishioners

We can get used to anything! We easily tune out of all that is around us. I find I have to remind myself to listen to the birds each day. It is quite possible otherwise to go through a day without any awareness of their beautiful, heartfelt singing!. 

Once you decorate your home with paintings or posters, how often do you notice them after that?

Well, some displays are to pass on information and so they need to be refreshed regularly. During Lockdown I for one, tuned out of the display boards in the church and in the hall. At last though, we are getting on with updating them. 

One large display board is on the wall of the entrance to the hall. It is supposed to display interesting or attractive areas of parish activity. The old display is now down but what will replace it? Do you have any photos or interesting material to display for anyone visiting the hall. I am keen to have it

PARISH BARN DANCE 

You are cordially invited to join us for our Parish Barn Dance in the church hall on Saturday 18 June from 7.30 until 10.30pm. VACANCIES

Secretary to Episcopal Vicar for South East London 

and Commissions for Racial Equality and Education

This is initially a 12 month contract for 3 days per week, based in Blackheath to support the newly created Episcopal Vicar function.  This is a senior secretarial position which requires someone with considerable previous secretarial experience and excellent organisational skills.  Must be self-motivated.

 

Diocesan Central Services Administrator

Based in Bowen House, SE1 this is a full time administrative position which will provide support for a variety of functions as well as covering reception duties.  Must have previous admin/secretarial experience and be very adaptable to changing priorities.

FRIENDS OF ST. THOMAS MORE SUMMER FAYRE – SATURDAY, 18^TH JUNE 1 – 4 PM

No entrance fee – all welcome.  Lots of stalls running activities for young and old include – BBQ, Grand Raffle, Home-made cakes, tombola, live music, Licensed Bar and lots more.  All funds are in support of all the students at St. Thomas More School.

 

ARCHDIOSCESE OF SOUTHWARK 2022 SPRING ASSEMBLY by the Justice and Peace Commission on Saturday 25^th June, 2022 at St Paul Catholic Church, Dover, Kent, CT16 1RU. Preceeded by Mass at 10.00 am at St Edmunds, Dover CT16 1BB. Registration 10.40 am. Programme 11am to 4pm. Entitled: Caught in the Act: Tackling the injustice of the Nationality and Borders Act: Everyone welcome.  Entrance is free.  Lunch provided.  Donations suggested.  Email: jpiccontact@rcaos.org.uk or just turn up.
