Dear Parishioners
Tuesday is a day of prayer for survivors of sexual abuse, including those who are survivors of abuse by clergy or others in the church. Our thoughts are often drawn to the perpetrators of this terrible crime and bringing them to justice but our prayers should begin with asking God for healing of the damage done to those who suffer this horror. It is a life changing event for them.
God Bless, Fr Doug

SAFEGUARDING EVENT – SATURDAY 28TH MAY 2022
Some groups of volunteers are required to have a current DBS check in order to fulfill their roles because they supervise or potentially come into contact with children or vulnerable adults. We need to ensure that all of our volunteers for the following groups are covered:
*Children’s Liturgy * Altar Servers * Special Ministers * Catechists * SVP * Volunteer Drivers
* Choir Leader
To help with this the Parish Safeguarding Team and representatives from the Diocesan Safeguarding Team will be here on Saturday 28th May 2022 from 9.00 -12.00 noon to process new DBS clearance for our volunteers. The process is relatively straightforward but you will need to attend with three pieces of identification including photographic evidence such as a passport or driving licence and a current utility bill/ bank statement/P60 with your current address.
Thank you very much and looking forward to seeing you on the 28th – Parish Safeguarding Team
CHURCH CLEANING
Please note a revised rota for week commencing Monday, 2 May is available for collection from the cleaners cupboard in the Sacristy. We now have two new groups. Each group will clean every ten weeks instead of six weeks previously.
