Prayer of St. Alphonsus – My Jesus, I believe that You are present in this Most Holy Sacrament of the altar. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come spiritually into my soul so that. I may unite myself wholly to You now and forever. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Following our Parish Council Meeting, there are several steps we are planning to take or which by now are already taking place:
The church will be ‘vented’ between masses and for good measure, the door handles have received a special treatment to prevent the virus adhering to them.
There can now be limited use of the toilets.
From the start of Advent
The choir will sing at the 10.30 mass but there can be no congregational singing
Parish Mass Books will be available to take home and bring to mass for a nominal deposit of £5, which is returnable. Each new book in the series can be obtained by returning the previous one.
The hall will be open after Friday mass and Sunday 10.30 mass. Initially BYO tea/coffee
Collections for other church organisations will follow on from this week’s CAFOD collection –
Next week will be divided between Home Mission, World Communications and Day for Life.
Baptisms have resumed and Reconciliation is on Saturday at 11.00 or by appointment.
                        God Bless

• Those who attend must wear a facial covering. (Exemptions apply)
• You will be asked to give your name and a contact detail so that we can participate in the track-and-trace scheme that the government is running OR use the QR Code

We are very grateful to the stewards who have volunteered to staff the church during these times. One will be in the porch to give instructions and others will be in the church to supervise and to usher. They will also help cleanse the church after Sunday masses.
Please ring John Rayer (01322 523499) if you are available for any of the Sunday masses.

A wonderful event postponed since the Easter Vigil will be the reception into the Church of Petrea Henry. This will take place next Saturday at the vigil mass. Please keep her in your prayers.

Congratulations to Ryan Loi who is to be baptised after mass on Sunday, and to his family

Any users will have to complete their own risk assessments and satisfy diocesan insurer’s conditions independently. The measure will include cleansing before and after use.
