Lord of the Oppressed

Christ is the defender of all who are sacrificed to the god of money, who are manipulated for economic gain. He sacrificed himself as a ransom for them all.

DIOCESAN DAY FOR CATECHISTS: Saturday 28 September 2019 starting at 10.30am and concluding with Mass at 4.00pm. Catechists are invited to attend the annual Diocesan Day for Catechists of the diocese, including those involved in Children’s Liturgy of the Word and the RCIA process. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PLEASE. Our next Gardening Day will be on Saturday 5 October, when we will be planting the memorial rose bushes . If you can spare a couple of hours, we hope you will join us. Weather permitting, we will meet outside the church after 10am Mass. Please bring your own gardening tools.

MEMORIAL ROSE If you would like a rose in our memorial garden, please contact the parish office or Carole Hughes on 07762 731303. The rose can be in memory of any or all of your loved ones (minimum donation of £25).

GOD WHO SPEAKS: ‘YEAR OF THE WORD’ Year 2020 has been dedicated as a year of focus on the bible ‘The Year of the Word’. There will be 6 sessions of Reflections at The Angelus Centre with Bro. Martin beginning Friday 4th October at 7.30pm. Please see noticeboard.
