Today’s Theme: His Word Is Near
We celebrate the nearness of the Lord to us his people. He is the Good Samaritan who comes close to us and heals us, raising us to life as his own body.

SJF EVENT 7th JULY: We had a lovely John Fisher celebration last Sunday and everybody seemed to be enjoying the day. A big thank you to those who helped along the way – the Events Team, the BBQ Team, the Raffle Team, the bar, the music, the children’s games, the ladies preparing and serving the food, all of which was donated. Thank you to everybody who donated food and gifts for the raffle, and also for monetary donations. We made almost £900 towards the Parish Maintenance Fund.
TODAY IS SEA SUNDAY when the Church prays for all those who live and work at sea. Without them we would not have most of the items we buy in the shops. Today’s second collection is for Stella Maris (Apostleship of the Sea), the Church’s official maritime welfare agency. It supports seafarers both practically and spiritually. This collection is vital to enable it to continue its work, so please give generously and remember seafarers in your prayers. Thank you. LITURGY GROUP: Following our recent meeting you will notice there are slight changes to the Entrance and Communion Antiphons. We hope you will agree these help to increase the prayerfulness of Mass. READERS – please collect a note about these changes from the Sacristy. Any queries please contact Fr Doug or a member of the Liturgy Group.
