TWENTY-SEVENTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (B)
Today’s Theme: The Family of God
First Reading: Genesis 2: 18-24. Second Reading: Hebrews 2: 9-11
Gospel: Mark 10: 2-16
. Fr Doug’s sermon
We celebrate today our belonging together as the family of God. Christ has made us his brothers and sisters, and children of our heavenly Father. The love and respect we share for each other in this celebration will be largely dependent on the love and respect that exists in our own families.

Remember that whatever you give will save lives and just think – how would we cope without, say, an abundant supply of clean water? Do use the CAFOD envelopes which were handed out over the last two weeks. There are spare envelopes in the porch and pens to help you fill them in. If you are a taxpayer, the gift aid declaration adds another 25% to your donation.
Do come into the hall after 10.30 Mass and buy one of the cakes made by the children, their families and others. All proceeds go to CAFOD. John Rayer, 01322 523499, SJF CAFOD Representative
