SEVENTEETH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR
The Treasure We Have Found
Solomon prayed for the wisdom to discern the true value of things. We scarcely need the wisdom ofSolomon to realise that in finding the love of God and the kingdom of God we have found a treasure beyond price.

BEXLEY DEANERY DEVELOPING WORLD GROUP: Thank you for your donation of £96.88 for the weekend of Sunday 16th July. We are now looking for new projects for the coming year (which starts in October). If you know of any small independent projects in any country in the developing world which could benefit from a donation of £1000 please contact our Parish representative, Maria Ward on 01322 555553, to get more information and an application form. Forms must be returned by the end of September. We have successfully completed 6 projects this year and will shortly be sending a further cheque for another project.
OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING: No film evening in August. Next film evening is on Wednesday 27th September on St Padre Pio.
A BIG THANK YOU: To all the volunteers and participants who helped to make Father Christian’s celebrations on 15th July so enjoyable. Despite some rain in the afternoon, much fun was had with various activities, including bouncy castle, karaoke, face painting and the Irish Dancing Troupe. In the evening, the hall was packed to hear a tribute to Fr Christian and see him being provided with a cheque for all the Parishioners contributions and a congratulations card, and then all were able to dance the night away.
