NOTE TO ALL EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS AND PARISHIONERS:
1) In order to reduce Ministers’ duties, Fr Christian has agreed that only one Minister is required at both Saturday 6pm Mass and Sunday 8.30 am Mass. We hope this will work well for both Ministers and Parishioners.
2) Corpus Christi on Sunday 18th June. Ministers are invited to renew their commitment at the 10.30 am Mass.
3) Ministers please collect your new rota (June to October) from the Sacristy.
UNA CARPENTER RIP: Sadly we have received news that Una has passed away. Cremation service takes place at Eltham Crematorium on 9th June at 10.15 am. Please remember her, together with her family and friends, in your prayers.
PARISH MISSION: 12TH – 16TH JUNE 2017: St Anselm’s Dartford, 89 West Hill. St Patrick’s Community come to Dartford to give a follow up Mission from 12-16th June. Each night has a different theme with talks from the community, prayers, music and a lot more. John Pidmore will start the mission on Monday. The Mission ends with Mass on Friday. We really encourage you to come to all five nights to get the most out of the Mission. BEXLEY PENTECOST WALK, SATURDAY 3 JUNE: Fancy a walk? Churches Together in Old Bexley is celebrating Pentecost and praying for Bexley. On Saturday 3 June everyone is invited to join us on a four mile route – planned with as few uphill’s as possible – to visit and pray in each of the nine member churches. Starting at 10.30am at St Barnabas, Tile Kiln Lane, Joydens Wood, DA5 2BB, and ending at our own St John Fisher at approximately 2.30 pm – start and end where you wish or stay in the distance. DO YOU LIKE SINGING?: Chorus members wanted for Gilbert & Sullivan’s ‘Trial by Jury’, part of Churches Together in Old Bexley’s Summer Music Festival. OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING:
Our next film evening will be on Wed 14th Jun when we will show an epic movie on Pope Pius XII and the often hidden struggle waged by the Pope and others with him to save Jews from Nazis during WWII.
The film will be shown in St John Fisher Bexley Church Hall, admission free, light refreshments served, prayer group stall, bar open, and all are welcome. Arrivals from 6:30 pm for 7:00 pm start & latecomers welcome.
OLD BEXLEY & SIDCUP GENERAL ELECTION HUSTINGS EVENT: Hope Community School, 167 Rectory Lane, Sidcup. Kent DA14 5BU has been booked for Tuesday 6th June, 7.30pm. All seven candidates have been invited. Event organised and hosted by New Generation Church, Sidcup and open to everyone.
