Dear Parishioners,

Emergency Lighting

You will be pleased to know that we have installed emergency lighting in the Church and in the Foyer.  Should there for any reason be a power cut, these lights will come on so that we can evacuate the areas more easily. You will also see that the security lighting round the church has been upgraded.

In this Jubilee Year we are encouraged to make at least one pilgrimage, but it does not have to be an expensive one to Rome or abroad, clocking up air miles. The Archbishop has designated our church and also St. John Vianney in Bexleyheath so that we can join with the other parishes of our Bexley Deanery, making our way from each of our churches on foot (or by bus) to SJV for a concluding Jubilee service together. SAT JULY 5TH – See below

God Bless,                                                Fr Doug

Maureen Fitzpatrick RIP:

Parishioners will be sorry to hear that Maureen, our organist and friend for many years, died this morning (Saturday).   She was in hospital following a fall at her home a week or so ago.  Maureen, who was 94, regularly played for us at 10.30 mass on Sundays enabling us to build up a large collection of recordings.   So her music will live on!
