FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2019
Our parish First Holy Communion Service will take place on Sunday 9th June at 10.30am.
This year we have seven candidates. They are:
Chloe Frost, Noah Grecula, Olivia Ireland, Elisa Meade, Harry Preece, Harini Surasingha and Emma Whiffen.
The communicants have been working very hard since January in preparation to receive the Blessed sacrament for the first time. They are very special children.   Please remember them in your prayers.

ST JOHN FISHER DAY – SUNDAY 7 JULY 12-4PM Remember to keep this date in your diary; tickets will be available soon. The various activities are starting to appear on the list in the porch along with volunteer names. We are looking for small teams to organize each activity, including those for children; to decide what to do, to provide and resource what you need and to organize on the day.

SECOND CHANCE! SATURDAY JUNE 8TH   Yes this is another chance to join us as we complete our efforts to tidy up the gardens in front of the church and hall. No gardening experience necessary but please bring tools if possible especially buckets and spades.

CHOIR PRACTICES are held on Friday evenings from 7.00 – 8.00 pm in the church. Any potential new members are very welcome to come.

We are walking and visiting each of our nine Churches praying for the people, schools, communities and businesses of Old Bexley – meet old and new friends while enjoying a pleasant walk. Starting from St John Fisher at 9.30am join us from the start or from one of the other churches en route, stay for the whole walk or just one Church. VOCATIONS WEEKEND FOR YOUNG WOMEN Theme: Discernment and Vocation. Dates: 24th-26th May, 2019, Location: Liverpool.
The weekend is organised by the sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ). There is nothing quite like religious life – it’s an extraordinary adventure into a deep relationship with God.
If you are wondering if God is calling you to religious life and would like to find out more why not come along? You are welcome to stay for the weekend or just come along on Saturday for the day. There will be opportunity for prayer, reflection and input, chance to ask questions and to meet others who are also wondering where God is calling them.
