OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING – Wednesday 25th April: Part 1 of a 2-part movie on the incredible life of the great saint St Augustine of Hippo. Second part (including recap) on Wednesday 9th May. Bar open, admission free, all welcome, 7:00pm for 7:30pm start.

CABARET NIGHT: Saturday 14th April 7:30 – 11:00pm. Doors open at 7:00pm. Come along to the SJF Cabaret Club and enjoy a ‘spectacular’ cabaret during an evening of chat, music, dancing and general amusement. In aid of the Church Maintenance Fund. Tickets £5 for adults, £3 for children. The bar will be open but bring your own nibbles. Tickets will be on sale this weekend after all masses. SISTER ANGELA WOOTTON: Our beloved former Parish Sister, sends her warmest Easter greetings to all her friends at St John Fisher Church. KNIGHTS OF ST COLUMBA VIGIL FAREWELL MASS: Monday evening 9th April at 7:30pm for Rod Farlam RIP, his Requiem Mass will be held the following morning, Tuesday 10th April at 11:30am. Both services to be held at St Stephen’s Church, 26 Deepden Road, Welling, Kent DA16 3QL. As I know, he knew lot’s of people in all four Parishes, we, the Knights of St Columba Welling Council 294 cover. Thank you again for your help. God Bless, Brother Gerald.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY MASS:  Will be said at 3pm at St John Fisher on Sunday 8thApril.  Begins with confessions at 2pm.

WOMENS WORLD DAY OF PRAYER:  This annual service which is held in March in a different Bexley church each year had to be postponed due to the snow.  It will now take place on Friday 20thApril at 10.30in the United Reform Church, Hurst Road.  The theme of the service is ALL GOD’S CREATION IS VERY GOOD.  This year it has been prepared by the women of Suriname.  All are welcome (it is not just a service for women).  Please come if you are able.

On this day the Church recalls the entrance of Christ the Lord into Jerusalem to accomplish his Paschal Mystery.

The memorial of this entrance of the Lord takes place at all Masses.

EDIE LIGHTFOOT R.I.P.: Sadly, we have received news that Edie Lightfoot has passed away. Please remember all her family & friends in your prayers. Edie was 97 years old.

EASTER OFFERING: Parishioners are reminded that the Easter collection is for your Parish Priest. If you are going away and would still wish to donate, please do so. Gift Aiders can put their special envelopes into any collection before or after Easter. Those who donate to the loose collection, other than on Easter Sunday, will need to place their donations in a separate envelope marked “Easter Offering”, and put it through the offertory collection. Alternatively, it can be posted through the presbytery letterbox. Thank you, Finance Committee.

OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING – Our next film evening will be on Wed 25th April when we will show the 1st of a 2-part movie on the life the great St Augustine of Hippo as he rises from his reckless days as a youth to become a most highly influential Father & Doctor of the Church. The second part (including a trailer as recap) will be shown on Wed 9th May. Watch either or both parts.

The film will be shown in St John Fisher Bexley Church Hall, bar open, hot buffet snacks, admission free, all welcome, 7pm for 7.30 pm start.

GOOD FRIDAY STATIONS OF THE CROSS 12:00 NOON – Churches Together in Old Bexley warmly welcome all to follow and pray with Christ.
