BEXLEY DEANERY DEVELOPING WORLD GROUP: Thank you for your generous donation on Sunday 2nd September. If you know of any small independent projects in the developing world which could benefit from a donation of £1,000, please contact our Parish Representative, Maria Ward, on 01322 555553/07802 623571. Completed application forms must be returned by the end of September. We have now completed nine projects this year as a result of your continued support and kind generosity.

MARY MANNERS RIP: Sadly, we have received the news that Mary Manners has passed away. Please remember her and her husband Steve and family in your prayers. Her Funeral Mass will be held at St Lawrence’s Sidcup on Wednesday 26th September at 11.30am.

SOCIETY FOR THE PROTECTION OF UNBORN CHILDREN: SPUC is urging people to send a postcard to the Home Secretary urging him not to recommend or promote legislation to outlaw peaceful pro-life vigils, which have helped many women to choose life for their unborn baby. The freedom to oppose abortion and offer help in public places is at risk. Postcards are available in the porch. For more information please call SPUC on 020 7091 7091 .

APF RED BOXES/MISSIO: Would anyone who has a red APF box please empty it and put the cash (in larger coins and notes if possible), or cheques made payable to St John Fisher Church, in an envelope and put it in the collection. Anyone who does not have a red box can still give money to the missions in this way. Please write APF, plus your name and address on the envelope, then either put it in the collection or hand it in at the presbytery so a receipt can be sent to you.

OUR LADY’S FILM EVENING: Wednesday 12th September, dramatic movie on St Vincent de Paul reveals how his unwavering commitment to the poor made him one of the greatest humanitarians in history, and how he became a trusted advisor to queens and princes.
FILM NIGHT PLUS: There will also be an exhibition of the work of the AIC and SVP with members on hand for those who would like more information. Do come, 7 for 7.30pm Bar open, admission free, all welcome.
