Dear Parishioners,
We come to the last Sunday in the Church year. Next week we begin the season of Advent, a time to reflect on God’s presence in our lives. The climax of the season will be the great Day of Christmas, but there is much to do and think about before that, besides putting up decorations!

If, that is, you aren’t already on the list of those who receive daily emails during Advent from the Diocesan Spirituality Commission. As an aid to prayer during Advent, they have produced a helpful daily reflection based on the readings for the day. Each is short, practical and calls us to action. YOUTH SUNDAY – Retiring Collection
There will be a second collection to support the work of Southwark Catholic Youth Service which provides a wide range of opportunities and activities for youth and young adults across the Archdiocese. Information at www.tinyurl.com/scys1
CONFIRMATION 2026- LAST CALL
We are running a programme for young people wishing to be confirmed in June 2026. You should be in Year 8 or above, (aged 13+ during 2025-26) Application forms in the foyer.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2026
Application forms are available in the foyer. Baptised children in year 3 or above are eligible to apply. Feel free to discuss with Fr Doug or Angela Underwood after mass. Completed forms must be returned by 31st December 2025. The programme will commence in January 2026.
FAMILY CAROL SERVICE & CHRISTMAS SOCIAL
Our service will be at 4.00 in Church on Sunday 14th Dec and will be followed by a social event in the Hall with refreshments and a Santa Sack for the children.

Bring Christmas joy to Bexley High Street – twice! CTiOB carol singing on Wednesday 10th December, 5:30-6:30pm, outside Flowers of Bexley. JESUIT REFUGEE SERVICE ADVENT SERVICE AND RECEPTION
Monday 1st December, 7:00pm – Farm Street Church, W1K 3AH As we begin our preparations for Advent and reflect on the Holy Family’s flight into exile, join the Jesuit Refugee Service for an evening of carols and a performance by their refugee music group.
QUIET DAY AT SANCTUARY QUIET GARDEN:
