Dear Parishioners,
Just looking ahead to October, the month of the Rosary, we will be offering a time of prayer in the church each Wednesday evening at 7.30 for about a half hour. We will be praying the Archbishop Romero Rosary, with meditations on Justice and on Peace. More information to follow, but mark up the Wednesday evening slots on your calendar or in your diary.
Oh, and does anyone know of a tree surgeon?! The diocese wants our trees inspected!
God Bless, Fr Doug
A CALL TO PRAYER AND PUBLIC WITNESS FOR PEACE IN THE HOLY LAND
We are witnessing the devastating escalation of violence in Gaza and the West Bank with Israel’s latest decision to mount a new offensive in Gaza City threatening hundreds of thousands with further forced displacement. The cries of Palestinian church leaders for peace and solidarity have echoed across the global Church, urging us to respond with clarity, compassion, and conviction.
In response we are calling on churches across Britain to pray for peace on Sunday 21st September, coinciding with UN World Peace Day and the global call to prayer from the World Council of Churches (Friends of the Holy Land)

MARCH FOR LIFE UK: Join the march on Saturday 6th Sept in London! The right to life underpins every other right we have and without it every other right is rendered meaningless. Abortion denies the most vulnerable in our society their most basic right to life. Unite with thousands of others at this family-friendly event where we recognise the value of life from conception and stand up for all those who have been impacted by abortion.
