Dear Parishioners,

LAETARE!

“It is only right that we should celebrate and rejoice.” That’s what the father says in the gospel today, when his “prodigal” son returns. It is the theme of Laetare Sunday: Laetare means Rejoice.

So yes, happy Mothering Sunday.

Rejoice too that Pope Francis has recovered from his illness sufficiently to return home. We keep him in our prayers though.

There is much in all our lives about which to rejoice. Today we count our blessings.

God Bless,                        Fr Doug

LENTEN REFLECTIONS:  We invite you to take part in a prayerful reflection on next Sunday’s Gospel in the Parish Hall: Monday – 6.30-7.00 p.m. or Tuesday – 1.30-2.30 p.m. All are welcome.
