Dear Parishioners,
FIRE!!
A word that catches our attention hopefully. If for any reason we have to evacuate the building we need to do so quickly (under 3 minutes) and safely through the MAIN ENTRANCE. That’s why we need to practice once a year. When the Presider (usually me!) asks you to leave the building, in a real event please leave the area as soon as possible making space for the arrival of emergency services, but in a drill feel free to wait around and re-enter when the drill is over. Please cooperate with our stewards. (There is no muster point because there is no register of those in church.)
Please be aware we are undertaking work in the hall during August, so the hall will effectively be closed during the weekdays. The planned closure is for 2 weeks only but it is not entirely unknown for works to over run!
Fr Peter’s return is now imminent. He visited his flat on Monday!
God Bless, Fr Doug
