Dear Parishioners,

I am grateful to Fr Peter for saying masses while I was on holiday. I’m glad to be back though, renewed and refreshed! 

Please think about the Faith Awards described below. Several groups in our parish were preparing submissions last year, but the evening was postponed due to a bereavement, so please think about it again. It would be good to celebrate good works!

SHIRLEY HILDEBRAND RIP

Please pray for the repose of her soul. Her funeral will be on Wednesday 26^th July at 11.30.

 

FAITH AWARDS

Bexley Interfaith Forum and L. B. Bexley invite submissions of any project that has a positive impact on residents of the borough, for a FAITH AWARD. The presentation evening will be in the Civic Offices on Wed 15^th Nov at 7 p.m. Submissions to bexleyinterfaith@gmail.com by 1^st Oct. 

 

MASS IN CELEBRATION OF THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE

Sept. 23^rd, 3pm, at St George’s Cathedral If you are celebrating your 1^st/10^th/25^th/40^th/50^th/60^th + wedding anniversary this year, please let Fr Doug know providing the following details:  your names, your home address, the anniversary you are celebrating. You will then receive an invitation from the Archbishop for you to renew your vows during Mass. 

 

DAY WITH MARINO RESTREPO: 

Saturday 5^th August 1.00pm – 7.00pm St Anselm’s Dartford. Marino Restrepo is a world-renowned evangelist.  There will be 3 presentations, with his testimony at 1.30pm. There will be exposition, mass at 5.00pm, rosary and divine mercy devotion. Details are on the notice board in the foyer.

FIRST FRIDAYS – The garden is open and free for you to recollect and rest between 10am and 4pm on the first Friday of the month – wander in, find a place to sit, bring your prayer book and take your own personal space for reflection.
